he looks really sharp and angry and a bit jaded and god dammit he should 

the same goes for windwaker link, the sharpness of link’s eye focus is directly connected to how goddamn miserable this poor kid is through his journey

twilight princess link isn’t as sharp, even if he looks the same; his face is very stern and composed, with a weirdly gentle expression in that grimness (link what is WRONG with your EYEBROWS in EVERY GAME); it’s a good face to a hero who is determined to protect what he loves, and it makes his paternal affections for the children of his town more believable even as a silent hero
